Vegetarian Enjoyment Group FAQs

What is VEG?

The Vegetarian Enjoyment Group provides a social atmosphere where people share useful information about vegetarian topics, while enjoying vegetarian snacks or meals.

What beliefs does VEG endorse?

There are at least as many reasons for interest in vegetarian topics as there are people who are interested.  Though we respect the beliefs of each individual, VEG does not endorse any specific beliefs or any particular definition of “vegetarian.”  Similarly, we invite guest speakers because we think they will be interesting, not because we endorse their point of view.

What goes on at VEG meetings?

Our meetings may include discussions, socializing, information/Q&A sessions, outings, pitch-in dinners or picnics, guest speakers, and probably some things we haven’t thought of yet (any ideas?).

How can I join?

VEG does not have members as such (or officers).  All meetings are open to anyone who is interested in vegetarian topics – you don’t even have to be a vegetarian.  You can get a trial subscription to our newsletter by simply asking for it.

Where and when does VEG meet?

We meet at various locations in and around Columbus, Franklin, and Shelbyville, Indiana.  For the specific place and time of the next meeting, see the newsletter.

What should I bring?

If it’s your first meeting, you’re our guest, so just bring yourself.  After that, the newsletter will let you know if you’re expected to bring anything.
